－当美術展27年の歴史を振り返り、来場者などのリクエストに応えて人気作品を紹介－

併せて、アイドルグループSKE48の北川愛乃さんやダンスボーカルユニットEXILEのメインボーカルTAKAHIROさんなどの新作が登場するほか、第40代・内閣総理大臣の東條英機が残した本邦初公開作品を紹介する特別出展「戦後80年の歴史の証言」など。

ご挨拶

『文化人・芸能人の多才な美術展』は、その年の時事問題をテーマに取り上げ、注目の作家を選出し、出展交渉を行っています。毎年、国内外から注目の作家を招き、各部門の作品を選考。オリジナリティあふれる構成で本展を開催してきました。平成11年（1999年）の開催から今年で27周年を迎えます。これまでに1,795名が出展し、全国135会場で延べ290万人が来場しました。「EntertainmentArt」という私の提唱する分野は着実に育ち、絵画を身近な存在へと広げ、確固たる地位を確立したと実感しています。

本展は芸術活動の発表の場であると同時に、文化・芸術を通じた社会貢献の歴史も重ねてきました。初期の7年間は、福祉事業へのチャリティーとしてNHK厚生文化事業団を支援。続く20年間は、日本文化の伝承を重視し、伝統芸術や伝統技術の再興を後押ししました。近年は、自然災害により文化財が危機にさらされる現実を受け、文化財保護・救済活動の支援に注力しています。こうした活動を通じて、文化と伝統の大切さを出展作家の皆様と共に広く社会へ伝えることを目標に開催しています。今年は、本展の歩みを振り返り、改めて意義を確認するためにテーマを「27年の歴史」に設定。来場者から寄せられた「もう一度あの作品を見たい」という声に応え、過去の名作を再展示します。併せて、出展作家による新作も紹介し、懐かしさと新しさを織り交ぜた構成で、本展の歩みを未来へとつなげる場としました。

同時に、私たちの社会では、戦争や自然災害によって先人が築いた歴史や文化が失われつつあります。こうした現実と「27年の歴史」のテーマを踏まえ、本展では作品を通して来場者が平和や未来への想いを考えるきっかけを提供したいと考えました。

その特別出展「戦後80年の歴史の証言」として、第40代内閣総理大臣・東條英機が描いた書画「観音像と漢詩―巣鴨プリズンにて」を初公開します。この作品は収監中に日系米国人憲兵ロバート・ヨシロー・ニカミ氏へ託されたもので、断崖に静かに座す観音像に「悔い」を意味する漢詩が添えられています。今年は戦後80年の節目でもあり、「戦争の記録を後世に残し、未来へどう伝えるか」を来場者と共に考える機会となるでしょう。ロバート氏は2000年にワシントンにて逝去しましたが、ご親族から本展の実績を評価され、今回の出展が実現しました。

創造と芸術の力は、すべての人の尊厳を大切にし、人種や言葉の違いを超えて自由に心を表現できることで、世界をひとつにする力があると信じています。絵画や創作物を鑑賞することは、単に歴史的・文化的背景を知り、美的・造形的価値観を他者と共有することだけではありません。それ以上に、他者を認め、尊重する心を育み、新たな文化を生み出すことの大切さを学ぶ場でもあります。心の底から他者を尊重し、人間の尊厳を認めることで、国際社会の平和と発展に寄与できると考えています。この思いを、影響力のある作家の皆様の作品を通して伝えていきたいと思います。

Organizer's Message

For “Art Exhibition of Versatile Men of Culture and Entertainers” we take up current issue of the year, select notable artists and request to participate in the exhibition. Every year we invite notable artists in and outside of Japan, select works in each category and hold the exhibition organized featuring originality. It began in 1999, and this year marks the 27th year. 1795 persons participated in the show, which were held at 135 venues and were visited by 2,900,000 people. The category I named “Entertainment Art” steadily grew and made painting more familiar for us and secured a firm position.

This exhibition is a place to present artistic activities as well as social contribution through culture and art. The first 7 years we helped NHK Public Welfare Organization as charity of welfare activity, during the following 20 years we put importance on transmission of Japanese culture and encouraged revival of traditional arts and techniques. In recent years in consideration of the problem that cultural properties are damaged by natural disasters, we put emphasis on the support of protection and rescue of cultural properties. We hold the exhibition in order to disseminate the importance of culture and tradition with the participating artists through these activities.

This year, reviewing the history of this exhibition, we have decided the theme of the exhibition as “History of 27 years”. In repose to the request of the visitors to see the art work once again, we show the excellent pieces of the pas exhibitions. Also, new works of this year’s participants will be introduced so that the exhibition is organized with mixture of old and new works to connect the history of the exhibition with future.

At the same time, our society is losing the history and culture our ancestors created. Based on this fact and the theme “History of 27 years”, we like to provide the visitors an opportunity to think about peace and future.

As a special exhibit “Testimony of history of 80 years after the war”, we put on display the calligraphy and painting “Kannon Avalokitesvara and Chinese style poem-at Sugamo prison” by the fortieth Prime Minister Tojo Hideki. This work was entrusted to the military police Mr. Robert Yoshiro Nikami during the imprisonment and depicts a figure of Kannon quietly seated facing a cliff accompanied by a Chinese style poem meaning ”regret”. This year marks the 80th year since the end of the war, and it will be a good opportunity to think together with the visitors “how to preserve the record of war for the later generations and transmit to the future”. Mr. Nikami passed away in 2000 in in Washington but thanks to the bereaved, who esteemed the achievement of our exhibition, the inclusion of the work in this exhibition is realized.

I believe that creation and art have power to unite the world by cherishing the dignity of all the people and expressing the mind freely, getting over the difference of race and language. Appreciation of paintings and other art works is not only knowing the historical and cultural background and share the aesthetic and artistic value with others. More than that, it is to admit the others and grow the mind to respect and learn the importance of creating a new culture. I believe that by respecting the others from bottom of your heart and admit the dignity of human being you can contribute to the peace of international society and its development. I like to convey this wish through the works of influential artists who participated in the exhibition.

特定非営利活動法人日本国際文化遺産協会（理事長・松岡久美子）と「文化人・芸能人の多才な美術展」実行委員会（企画：ラリス株式会社）は、2025年9月6日（土）～9月10日（水）までの5日間、Ｏ美術館（※オービジュツカン／東京都品川区大崎1－6－2大崎ニューシティ2号館2階）を会場とし、俳優、ファッションモデル、アイドル、写真家、書家、カメラマン、国会議員、などが出展に協力し、総勢76名125点の美術作品を一堂に集めて公開する27周年『文化人・芸能人の多才な美術展』を開催します。

『文化人・芸能人の多才な美術展』とは、幅広い層の方々に多才な作品を鑑賞してもらい、鑑賞者も創作意欲を掻き立て芸術活動に挑戦してもらいたいと考え、一人ひとりの誰もが文化の担い手であることを認識していただく場となることを1つの目標としています。今回の当美術展は、文化財保護・救済活動支援チャリティー企画をスローガンに掲げ、当美術展の27年の歴史の歩みをテーマとし、来場者から寄せられた「もう一度あの作品を見たい」というリクエストに応えるとともに、出展実績のある人気作家の新作などを同時に多数紹介していきます。

特に今回は、歴史を振り返るというテーマに合わせ、第40代・内閣総理大臣・東條英機が描いた作品「観音像と漢詩－巣鴨プリズンにて」を公開。この作品は、巣鴨プリズンに収監されていた東條英機が、米軍憲兵ロバート・ヨシロー・ニカミに贈ったもので、断崖に静かに座して禅を組む観音像と、悔いを意味する言葉を添えた漢詩が描かれています。ロバート・ヨシロー・ニカミが2000年にワシントンで亡くなるまでの間、一般公開されることは一切なく、彼自身が大切に保管していました。

今回は、ロバート・ヨシロー・ニカミの親族の協力を得て、本美術展の27周年の実績を評価していただいたことに加え、第二次世界大戦の終結から80年が経過した節目の年であることから、「歴史の記録を後世に残すとともに、私たちは戦争の記憶を未来へどう伝えるべきなのか」を来場者とともに考える機会としたいという思いが重なり、特別出展「戦後80年の歴史の証言」の実現に至りました。

また、来場者などからリクエストが多く寄せられた、歌手・八代亜紀さんの油絵「優しい刻」／F50号、女優・山本陽子さんの日本画「典雅」、安倍晋三元総理の水彩画「かぶ」、南アフリカ共和国第8代大統領・ネルソン・ホシシャシャ・マンデラさんが残した記録や「Freedom　Charter（自由憲章）」など、生前に制作された作家の作品を再展示することにしました。

さらに、芸能人や文化人による新作として、人気アイドルグループSKE48チームSの北川愛乃さんの油絵「水平線」、ダンスボーカルユニットEXILEのメインボーカルとして活躍中のTAKAHIROさんによる、作家・北方謙三さんの歴史小説の題字を手掛けたことから着想を得た「森羅記」、タレント・キンタロー。さんの油絵「ある日の束の間」なども出品します。

なお、本美術展はＯ美術館での開催を皮切りに、順次、全国の美術館、博物館、国公立文化施設、商業施設、百貨店などを巡回していく予定です。
